I originally bought this for my phone, but I probably use it more with my laptop now. It folds up small enough to stay in my work bag and feels much sturdier than the plastic stands I’ve had before. Nice to have one thing that works for several devices.
I travel for work and was carrying a separate phone stand and laptop riser. This replaced both for me. I like that it folds flat and doesn’t take up much room next to my charger and cables. It’s one of those simple things that just makes traveling easier.
I was honestly expecting something lighter and a little flimsy, but it has a good weight to it. The hinges feel firm and my laptop stays in place while I’m typing. I also use the magnetic side for video calls with my phone.
I keep it next to my laptop and use it mostly for my phone during the workday. The magnetic hold has been reliable for me and I like being able to change the angle quickly. Took me a minute to figure out all the folding positions, but after that it was easy.
I work from coffee shops a few days a week and this has become part of my setup. My phone sits at a much better angle for calls, then I can switch it over and raise my laptop when needed. Much cleaner than balancing my phone against a cup like I used to.
I use my tablet for recipes and hated laying it flat on the counter. This holds it up at a comfortable angle and doesn’t take up much space when I’m done. I didn’t buy it specifically for cooking, but that’s probably where I use it most now.
